Change Your Internet Browser

Basically when your school or office blocks any site, they generally block it for a particular browser. Meaning, the site is only blocked for Internet Explorer and not for any other browsers. So first of all you should try and use different browsers like Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Flock, Netscape just to name a few. Try searching for lesser know browsers and check if they work. If this doesn't work out, it means that your school or work place has blocked it for all the browsers.

Use a Proxy

A proxy is actually a computer program that will process your site accessing request on another server over than your school's computer and thus your school computer won't know which site you would be assessing. To be clearer, when your school server blocks a site, it actually blocks all requests made to that specific server. Using a proxy will hide this request and hence your school computer won't know which site is accessed. Thus, you will get access to the blocked site and can enjoy it freely!

However sadly your school authorities too are not that dumb and hence will try blocking those proxy sites as well so that you aren't able to access the proxy itself. But hey, there are thousands of proxies out there and hundreds of new ones are made daily. So school authorities can't block them all. You may want to join a Yahoo group where you will get a list of fresh new proxy sites delivered to your email address daily so that you can use them to access blocked sites! The solution is simple and easy and too hard for authorities to prevent you from using this!
