How to Build a Chopper
Wanna flash one of those swanky looking bikes to your friends and colleagues? Try modifying your bike into an eye-catching Chopper.
About Building One
Well anyways, here's a short tutorial on how to build your own chopper and get those 'Whose-bike-is-it?' looks! You can get a chopper kits also know as "bike-in-a-box" and get started with your own chopper. But before that, make sure you have enough space in your garage and if possible get a lift as it would make it easier to work on a lift rather than without one. Investing a few dollars there would be beneficial in the long run believe me. You can get a frame from any frame manufacturers who will show you a large number of options according to your taste. Just select a frame of your choice and you can then get started with the kit that you have purchased.
Using a Chopper Kit
The question to be considered when buying a kit is "How will your bike stand out with the hundred others?" Another question is "How Long ?" Let's answer the first question now. A kit contains basically of raw materials, canvas which is blank, seats, bolts etc. Now it's obvious that your take on each of these things is not going to be the same as that of every other chopper driver. So it's obvious that your chopper is going to be unique from those others even though you didn't try to make it! The only thing to be remembered here is, don't take any chopper as base for yours and try creating the complete design on your own. This will ultimately make your chopper stand out.
How Long
Now come to the next question of "How long?" Well the answer is simple one. As long as you want! Don't limit it or compare it with anyone else. Just get your dream chopper as long or as short as you want. How long will it take you to build it? About 10-15 days if you were to work 6 hours a day each. If you arrive at any problem, you can always hire someone to get that thing done as it will still be a lot cheaper to build your own chopper from kits rather than getting a new one! PLUS, the satisfaction of building your own is entirely different and that's what matters!
